The departure of the hospital in Saint-Germain-en-Laye is a unique opportunity to imagine an extraordinary project in an exceptional heritage setting. Building a gateway to the town, installing a new federating square, to offering new gardens, imagining a built environment on the scale of the surrounding fabric and highlighting the heritage buildings present on site, these are the great ideas of the project, to place it in its urban, architectural and living context.

"The intense city": Shops and a new cinema are being built around the new place du miroir d'eau and the Lamant pavilion, the reinvested heritage of the former hospital. "The soft and secret city": Exceptional housing and health programmes enjoy a calm setting in the heart of a pedestrianised district with plenty of greenery. "The visible city": A real showcase for the project, the rehabilitated water towers offer a panoramic terrace overlooking western Paris and the horizons. These three urban imaginations create a project that is rooted in its site and its history, while at the same time looking resolutely to the future.
